Location is top, the room too. Even nicer than we would have expected it for this price range in Rome. However, it would have been nice to be informed in the automatically generated check-in reminder or in the booking confirmation or any other mail that you get, that this hotel does not have its own reception, but that you have to go for check-in to the Golden Tulip Hotel 10 min away. It is indeed written here in the info, but I had read over it or forgotten about it at the time of our arrival. Despite this problem at the beginning it's a great hotel!

First of all: You get what you pay for here. Room was adequate with ac, tv, and wifi. Had to call for toilet paper when they didn't replenish. Front desk service from Argentinian girl and Spanish guy was amazing. Front desk service from Arabic guys was horrible!!!. Rome was amazing! The room itself was OK. The bathroom smelled like sewage (very bad). Housekeeping wasn’t very good and you can easily hear all your neighbors through the walls floor and roof but for a place to sleep while we spent most of our time exploring the city- it met our needs. But DO NOT FORGET THE SEWAGE SMELL inside the bathroom that goes across the whole room!!!!!,

It is a good deal for its location. It's only about a 20 minutes walk to the Colosseum or in the opposite direction the Trevi Fountain. I felt safe in the area as well. HOWEVER, the staff are extremely unhelpful and barely acknowledge you so don't expect any help with the area or hotel room - they are too busy watching tv/videos on the computer. The air conditioning is terrible and barely blows to cool the room down! It was so hot sometimes that I woke up in the middle of the night and the only thing on the bed was a sheet so it wasn't like I was sleeping under a comforter. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family.

I recently stayed here with my friend. My friend wrote a review about the rude staff that’s was bothered by any questions while watching videos. In the evening the night auditor was sleeping on the couch with a pillow and all. He was disturbed by us walking in. I requested an iron and he rudely answered you need it now? I said yes please when you get a chance. I never received the iron. The next day i asked for an iron again I was told by another staff you are the one who wrote the review. When I asked for an iron I was told the hotel doesn’t have irons. A few minutes later he returned with the iron completely bothered. The review did nothing as the next night once again staff sleeps the whole night. Managements reply to my friends review was we worked it out with the guest. Negative. No one spoke to us or apologized, as a matter a fact the opposite. Being unprofessional and extra rude knowing the review came from us. I am a front desk agent as well and this is totally unacceptable behavior from the staff and management who won’t address this. Customer service should be number one. We were only greeted by the young lady working there. Because of the service I wouldn’t recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed at Regina Giovanna for a few days while on a part of our honeymoon. It was okay, not much better than that. A framed piece of paper in the room advertised minibar-service in the room but when I asked the reception about it they said they didn't have it any more (they shouldn't have advertised it then). The bed was nice and sheets were clean. The shower was good and bathroom was clean. However the headboard of the bed, light cones om the walls and corners weren't clean and some of the surfaces were dusty. Very thin walls and a bit noisy most of the time. Good air conditioning, which was crucial to our stay so kudos for that. Service/staff was bland and didn't communicate between shifts. A girl on the evening shift booked for us a late checkout on the evening before our check-out, yet the morning shift called our room to rush our checkout too soon because he seemingly didn't know we had booked a later checkout. It's in a convenient location and doesn't cost much, but still I probably wouldn't recommend it to friends or family.
